Yes, that’s what I have to say with all my experience. Being a Christian Teen, life ahead of us is all undiscovered. There’s so much ahead of us which with our inexperience mindset can never be face. We begin to discover things within us, in us, around us, and some of this discovery is full of excitement and thrill, we wish everyone to know it and we share it out, while some of them are those which we would like no one other than me, myself to know. Bible knows it right from day one of creation that every ChrisTeen has to go through this phase of life and hence it is being very clear and advising upfront about what as we ChrisTeens should be doing. Read the below verse James 4:7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Yea, there you go… Bible clearly says that life is full of evil and the devil has planted evil at your doorsteps, there is no way that you with you small intelligence can handle this situation and overcome it. It is only through the spiritual power and strength from God Almighty that you can face such situations. Scriptures say – Submit your self to God and then Resist the devil so that as soon as you submit yourself to God, His supreme power comes and resides in you and when your resist the devil, a spiritual warfare beings between God’s power and the Devil’s power. And of course the God who has been victorious over death will help you resist the devil and because of this devil will flee from you. Lets again read the below verse 1 Peter 5:6-11 6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen. Wow, I think this is more than enough us to know how powerful it is to stand firm in faith and submit to God. Gods omnipresent, omni potential and is the one who is the beginning and the end. Nothing can surpass Him. If we submit our self to God, He will control and handle us to the very best. He has plans for all of us, but will only execute it when we say to Him, Here I am Oh Lord, your servant just as what Samuel did. If we submit ourselves to God then our teenage life is goanna be real smooth, the reason is simple because we are in safe hands who knows what is best for us and will guide us in that direction only. Bible also knows that we as ChrisTeens are full of anxiety, excitement and overflowing with desires. And so it says that cast it all unto Jesus for He cares for us. And of course He could be the only one on whom we can cast our anxiety because He knows what our concerns are, He knows what holds for us in future and only one who knows the end from the beginning can be a good guide. But in all this we as ChrisTeens need to stand firm on our faith. I mean for God to begin His part of work in us, we need to first take a step ahead submit our selves to Him and stand firm in our faith on Him. Its only then he work on us. After all a doctor can heal you with medicines only if you have faith in him. If you do not have Faith and Trust on him you will never take his medicines. No matter what may come, our faith needs to be firm and strong on Him, it’s only then the Lords plan for us being to prosper. Initially like Job, though we have our faith in Him, we might find things working against us, but HaNg On!! Keep your life anchored on to the God who died on the cross, the storms will come and pass by, the thunders will try its best to scare you but they cannot shake you as your anchor is firm. Hold on to the faith. Let me encourage you ChrisTeen brothers and sisters to stand firm in faith and be focused on our God and this God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. Amen!
